March Round Up

What was that I said back at the end of February's recap?

"Hopefully March is somewhat better, though with it being the last month in the house ... we'll see."

Yeah, that was wise. Because reader? It was WORSE than February. Like seriously.

Swimming: 5600m (3.48 mi)
Cycling: 48.05 mi
Running: 25.74 mi
Lifting: six sessions (2:12)
Other: one session catch (:20), one day skiing (1:30), two walks (1:35)

So I basically took a week off after the half ... kinda sorta got back into things ... and then ALL THE PACKING and other random assorted crap that took a higher priority thanks to moving. Like flying out to SLC to do a final walkthrough of the new house.

Moving during an Ironman year - DO NOT RECOMMEND.

At the end of February, I also wrote the following:

"As of now, I'll be in Tucson for April, so that might help things out as well."

Reader, I am not in Tucson. Rather, I am in Lone Tree, living back at the parents' house. There are a few reasons for this:

- when I cancelled my gym membership, it still was active until 4.25
- AirBnBs for a month are EXPENSIVE
- ... B is mostly in ATL this month and I kinda want him around in the desert, too, if possible
- the parents' is being used as storage for things the movers couldn't transport/store anyway (plants, alcohol, cleaning supplies, super fragile things (neon))

HOWEVER, it's been 11 years (almost 12) since I've moved out of this joint. It hasn't changed much. Don't get me wrong, I love my parents ... but this (marginally) organized chaos? Not so much. So it'll be good for me to want to get out of the house a lot. We've already gone for walks.

Also, they live in the midst of hills, and I was never a better runner than I was when I first started while also living here. So I should get a lot stronger over the next month as long as I put in the work.

The end of April and parts of May are still in the air - have to go to Chicago for a baby shower at the very end of April, I'll be in St. George for the IMWC for a few days (well. Cedar City is where the hotel is, but y'know) and then Vegas right after since I got me some free nights (at the MGM which actually does have a lap pool). We have a concert in Denver mid-month and in theory we can move into the new place in SLC on May 25 ... but it's the in-between that's the question. Maybe some will be at my friend Katie's. Maybe some will be in Tucson. WHO KNOWS?

... all I know is I get to put in a lot of work.
