August Round Up

Welp, another month down.

Swimming: 3172m (1.97 mi)
Cycling: 56.46 mi
Running: 13.55 mi
Lifting: 15 sessions (4:49)
Other: two sessions hockey (2:02), 29 walks (11:30), five sessions yoga (1:37)

Swimming numbers got weird thanks to the pre-race practice swim (as always with open water) and I really should have swum Monday to get my stupid Garmin badge but alas. Not a good month and given travel, September will probably be worse, but eh. Life.

Cycling ... was about average for the year honestly (maybe above?) and getting in a ride on a rented bike on vacation helped.

Running and I aren't currently getting along. Which is a problem. Hopefully that will change once the heat (and the mosquitos) go away.

The lifting and yoga continued to come from the challenge I'm doing which is often a struggle, but I'm doing my best to persevere. The summer skate is now officially done with, but hockey season starts back up in September, so not worried about that. I did miss two walks this month which sucks - especially considering that I still somehow managed during Sprint Nats weekend - but alas. Shit happens.

A lot of September will be on the road - mostly for an Oktoberfest hockey tournament in Germany - and I'm undecided on how much I want to try running the almost three weeks I'll be gone because: packing space. I accept that swimming and biking will really not be much of a thing during that time. Hopefully I can keep moving, and then start officially OFFICIALLY base building in October ... around the travel I have then. Because life refuses to slow down.
